The Girls Basketball Camp will be split into two sections: for the camper who wants to learn the basic fundamentals of basketball, and the camper who wants to play at a higher level. In the early morning session, both groups will be taught proper basketball warm ups and conditioning. Then, campers will participate in skill sessions, based on the camper's ability. In the afternoon, coaches will cover the technical and tactical skills, and then apply them in a game situation. Our goal is to vary our teaching techniques to meet the needs and abilities of each camper.
This Girls Basketball Camp is run indoors in the Staake Gymnasium.
What to Bring
Campers for all camps should dress so that you will be ready to participate actively in games and skill building activities. We recommend wearing shorts and a t-shirt or sweatshirt, depending on the weather. Your child's footwear should provide good lateral support and be appropriate for the sport in which he or she is signed up. In addition, you should bring an athletic bag with sun block, swimsuit, towel, change of clothes for the afternoon session, and jacket in case of rain. Finally, be sure to clearly label all items.
