Flag Football is a noncontact program designed for the camper who wants to learn fundamentals while experiencing the enjoyment of playing flag football. Counselors will work with the campers to develop the proper techniques to throw and catch a football. In addition, campers will work on team defensive skills from blitzing against the pass rush to playing it safe. On offense, players learn how to create their own plays under the guidance of the coaches, both during a game and in the slower-paced environment of the morning sessions. The day concludes with a 7-on-7 game to incorporate the skills learned.
What to Bring
Campers for all camps should dress so that you will be ready to participate actively in games and skill building activities. We recommend wearing shorts and a t-shirt or sweatshirt, depending on the weather. Your child's footwear should provide good lateral support and be appropriate for the sport in which he or she is signed up. In addition, you should bring an athletic bag with sun block, swimsuit, towel, change of clothes for the afternoon session, and jacket in case of rain. Finally, be sure to clearly label all items.
