Girls Soccer and Lacrosse Multisport Camp

New to the Babson Summer Camps, this camp will allow girls ages 8-15 who are multisport athletes excel in both lacrosse and soccer. Each day will be split into two sessions, focusing on either lacrosse or soccer. The camp is designed to attract multisport athletes who are comfortable with the basic skills of each sport and are now looking to excel in both.

Campers will be offered a balance of fundamental instruction within each sport as well as allowing the athlete to develop a myriad of sporting skills prevalent in both sports.

What to Bring
Campers for all camps should dress so that you will be ready to participate actively in games and skill building activities. We recommend wearing shorts and a t-shirt or sweatshirt, depending on the weather. A lacrosse stick, mouth guard and goggles are required. Your child's footwear should provide good lateral support and be appropriate for the sport in which he or she is signed up. Also add a pair of flip-flops or sneakers for the lunch break. In addition, you should bring an athletic bag with sun block, swimsuit, towel, change of clothes for the afternoon session, and jacket in case of rain. Finally, be sure to clearly label all items.

Program Objectives
  • Improve individual skills and overall fitness
  • Better knowledge and enjoyment of the games
  • Gain knowledge in offense and defense areas, team tactics, and field vision in both games of lacrosse and soccer
  • Build a competitive, positive atmosphere for the multisport athlete.

EQUIPMENT: Campers must bring their stick, mouth guard, goggles, cleats, and sneakers for potential indoor and/or turf play. Goalies must bring a complete set of goalie equipment.
