In Girls Evening Field Hockey Camp, teams and individuals prepare for their upcoming seasons, working on footwork, agility, and offensive and defensive corners. This camp is for girls entering their first year of high school through their junior year, ages 14-18. The camp takes place on our beautiful Astroturf facility under the evening lights in July.
All sessions are played on a watered surface, requiring proper footwear (turf shoes or cross-trainer sneakers). Our coaching staff includes college-level coaches and players from Babson College and surrounding areas.
This camp is geared toward the more experienced high school players looking to improve on the fundamentals and game play.
What to Bring
Campers for all camps should dress so that you will be ready to participate actively in games and skill building activities. We recommend wearing shorts and a t-shirt or sweatshirt, depending on the weather. Your child's footwear should provide good lateral support and be appropriate for the sport in which he or she is signed up.
Program Objectives
- Improve basic game skills: ball control, jabs, blocks, shooting, scoring, and stick work
- Emphasize teamwork and fair play
EQUIPMENT: Campers must bring their field hockey stick, turf shoes or cross-trainer sneakers, mouth guard, and shin guards. All goalies must check the appropriate box on the application. (Goalie equipment is required).
