For the sixth year, Babson offers evening tennis instruction at the Boys and Girls Evening Tennis Camp. Boys and girls ages 8-15 are invited to participate. This camp is for all ability levels, but may be a great way to try tennis and build your fundamentals for a few hours without the full commitment of our day camp.
During each session, campers are offered a balance of match play and drills in a relaxed setting with a low camper-to-coach ratio. Campers of all abilities will work on their tennis skills in the cool of the evening, playing on Babson's beautiful, outdoor eight-court facility.
What to Bring
Campers for all camps should dress so that you will be ready to participate actively in games and skill building activities. We recommend wearing shorts and a t-shirt or sweatshirt, depending on the weather. Your child's footwear should provide good lateral support and be appropriate for the sport in which he or she is signed up.
Program Objectives
- Develop ground stroke, serve-and-volley consistency, and technique
- Explore and practice doubles and singles strategy
- Understand the latest trends in tennis
